Race, Racism and the Gospel
Join us for a 4-week Zoom workshop (1/13, 1/20, 1/27, 2/3) to explore the biology, psychology, and history of race and racism in the United States and to learn more about the role race has played in the Bible and throughout church history.
Each session will meet from 7:30-9:30pm and will consist of digitally interactive learning activities including breakout rooms, Menti.com presentations, polls, videos, etc. In preparation for each session, you will receive suggested readings or links to videos or podcasts as a way to go further into the learning.
This workshop is designed as an introductory learning space and assumes little to no previous knowledge on any of these issues. It is open to adult participants as well as those in senior high and junior high (parent accompaniment requested for junior high students). If you’re already at a higher level, we still hope you can join us and be a leading voice in the many group discussions and conversations throughout the 4 weeks.
If you’re interested in joining us, use this link to sign up. Please fill out one for each participant (even if you're intending to share a laptop)—this will help us gather a roster of names and emails I can use to send out the suggested readings and links throughout the week.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out; you can call or text the instructor/facilitator, Eduardo Pazos, at 978-601-2928, or send him an email.
